WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDIES

All women are invited to join a Bible study! Typically we offer a few options in the fall and spring semesters, and often one option in the summer. We strive to offer studies for all ages and stages of life, as well as for those who have never studied the Bible before to those who have participated for many years.

Every Good Promise Fulfilled: A Study on Joshua

“None of the good promises the LORD had made to the house of Israel failed. Everything was fulfilled.” Joshua 21:45

 

The book of Joshua chronicles God’s continuing faithfulness to fulfill His covenant promises to Abraham. It is a book of transitions, in which Joshua rises to leadership and the people of God step across the Jordan into the long-awaited land of promise. The task of possessing the land will test the limits of their strength and their courage, but God’s covenant will not fail them. And Joshua’s faithful example will whisper toward the perfect faithfulness of Christ Himself.

 

In this 10-session, verse-by-verse study of the book of Joshua, Jen Wilkin helps us see God’s continuing faithfulness to fulfill His covenant promises, both to Israel then and to us today. Israel’s story is our story. We battle not against flesh and blood as they did, but we courageously war against the temptations of the world, the flesh, and the Devil, trusting in the finished work of the true and better Joshua, Jesus Christ.


This study will include a workbook and video series by Jen Wilkin, discussion and prayer time. Workbooks are $20 and can be purchased through the church. If you are unable to purchase one, the church will provide it for you at no cost. If you have any questions, please contact Jill Larson.

Precepts Study of Romans

 

We are freed from sin's penalty! All have sinned. There is none righteous. We are declared righteous by God only by faith in the blood of His Son. Romans 1 - 5 explains the foundational doctrines of our faith - original sin, justification, redemption, and propitiation. Those are big words, but we can learn and understand them together! This spring will focus on Chapters 2-5. New participants are welcome!

 

Tuesday Evenings, 6:30 - 8:00 PM

8 weeks.  Part 1 is 14 sessions. We did half last fall and we are doing the other half this spring. New participants are welcome! You will need a workbook, so please let us know you are signing up by Sunday, January 25.
