ABOUT US

CORE VALUES

FELLOWSHIP BIBLE CHURCH BELIEVES:

The Bible is the inspired Word of God and inerrant in the original writings.

(2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:21)

There is one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

(Deuteronomy 6:4; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He became man without ceasing to be God.

(John 1:1-2, 14; Luke 1:35)

The Holy Spirit was sent by the Father to convict the world of sin and to transform the lives of believers into the likeness of Jesus Christ.

(John 16:8-11; Romans 8:9; Ephesians 1:13-14)

Humans were created in the image of God, yet all have sinned and disobeyed God. The consequence of sin is eternal death.

(Genesis 1:26-28; Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23)

The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ who paid the penalty for our sin when He died, was buried and rose again.

(Romans 6:23; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4)

All who receive, by faith, the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins are born again and become children of God, a relationship in which they are eternally secure. Salvation is "by grace alone, faith alone, Christ alone."

(Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5-7; Ephesians 1:13-14; John 10:27-28; 14:6; Acts 4:12)

FELLOWSHIP BIBLE CHURCH
IS A NON-DENOMINATIONAL, INDEPENDENT CHURCH.

In 1946, a small group of believers, who were committed to sound doctrine and Bible-based preaching, began meeting at the YMCA for a Bible study. As they studied the Bible, they developed a burden to establish a church where the Gospel would be powerfully and clearly proclaimed.

On June 7, 1948, they met for the first time in a rented facility. Part of the current property was purchased in 1950 and services were held in a home while funds were accumulated to build a sanctuary. It was then that they adopted the name “Oskaloosa Gospel Tabernacle.”

In 1952, groundbreaking services were held and the faithful group pledged themselves to God. Over the years, there have been many building additions and remodeling projects to accommodate a growing church family. In 1994, the church name was changed to “Fellowship Bible Church.”

Over the years, God has blessed FBC with spiritual and numerical growth. It is our desire that all who attend and participate in the ministries of FBC become disciples of Jesus Christ through evangelism, baptism following salvation, and ongoing discipleship.

WE LOOK FORWARD TO MEETING YOU
